2024 Global IndiaAI Summit Begins Today: The Two-day Event's Seven Main Elements

The "Global IndiaAI Summit 2024" is being hosted by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and will begin today, July 3. The two-day conference, which will be attended by worldwide delegates, AI specialists, and politicians, intends to address important topics pertaining to artificial intelligence (AI).

The National Capital event will center on improving AI development in fields such as safe AI, startup finance, future skills, application development, fundamental models, datasets, and computing power.

Leading international AI professionals from academia, government, business, civil society, and science will be able to exchange ideas and perspectives on important AI problems and challenges during the summit.

The event is a testament to the Government of India's commitment to the responsible development of AI, encouraging cooperation and information sharing among international AI players, according to the ministry.

It said, "India aims to establish itself as a global leader in AI innovation through the Global IndiaAI Summit 2024, ensuring that AI benefits are accessible to all and contribute to the nation's socio-economic development."

In her role as main chair of the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI), India will bring together international specialists in AI to deliberate on important matters and advance reliable AI.

State Minister of IT and electronics Jitin Prasad will also be speaking at the event's opening. The second day will include sessions devoted to developing talent and scaling AI ideas, while the first day will include a wide range of sessions intended to delve deeply into important areas of AI application and governance.

IndiaAI Mission's main tenets and areas of emphasis

A wide range of topics are covered at the Global IndiaAI Summit 2024 to support India's development of a robust and accountable AI ecosystem.

Infrastructure: Through public-private partnerships and an AI marketplace, IndiaAI Compute Capacity aims to establish a strong and scalable AI infrastructure with powerful computing resources, including over 10,000 GPUs, to facilitate researchers' and developers' access to the resources they require.

Innovation: The IndiaAI Innovation Center will concentrate on developing potent AI models, or large language models (LLMs), that are appropriate for a range of sectors and customized to meet the unique requirements of India.

Data availability: The IndiaAI Datasets Platform will lower barriers to high-quality data access, which is essential for building powerful AI models and training them.

Applications in the real world: The IndiaAI Application Development Initiative aims to close the gap between AI research and practical issues. Its goal is to develop useful AI solutions that advance both the economy and society.

Education and labor: IndiaAI FutureSkills will acknowledge the value of having a trained labor force. In an effort to guarantee that the next generation has the requisite AI knowledge, it plans to increase AI education and open Data and AI Labs in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

Startup expansion: IndiaAI Startup Financing will provide funding to help develop viable AI businesses. By adding capital to the ecosystem, this promotes economic growth and innovation.

Ethical considerations: Safe & Trusted AI will prioritize ethical AI development, encourage moral behavior, provide transparent AI tools, and set standards for reliable AI technology.
