Accenture's Hiring Spree Might Pressure Other Businesses

By Consultants Review Team Monday, 30 September 2024

The news that Accenture has revealed their hiring goals for FY25 has given Indian software firms hope ahead of their September quarter results announcement next month.

"As we hire more people in technology, our hiring location is predominantly in India. This pertains to our pyramidal structure as well. We employ people globally and in the technology sector, which is a major growth engine as we anticipate for FY25. During a recent earnings call, Accenture CEO Julie Sweet informed investors, "We will be hiring more people in India."

Out of its 7.7 lakh workers worldwide, Accenture employs more than 3 lakh people in India. The fiscal year 2024 saw a net addition of 41,484 employees for the organization.

According to industry observers, Accenture's decision would likely push other corporations to increase their offshore presence as well.

The early months of campus recruiting, according to CEO of CIEL HR Aditya Mishra, show how committed IT services organizations are to handling the supply side, with encouraging signs emerging from the demand viewpoint.
