Anthropic, Backed by Amazon, Releases an Android App for Claude

By Consultants Review Team Wednesday, 17 July 2024

The company behind ClaudeAI, Anthropic, has released an Android app for its chatbot that uses artificial intelligence (AI). Anthropic's Claude provides free access to ChatGPT's competitor. The Claude 3.5 Sonnet model is included with it.

"The new Claude Android app brings the power of Claude—including our most powerful model, Claude 3.5 Sonnet—to Android users," the business stated in a statement introducing the program. Accessible with all plans, including Pro and Team, the app is free.

What's new for the Android app ClaudeAI

The Claude Android app, which is supported by the e-commerce behemoth Amazon, claims to function exactly like the Claude iOS and web apps. The application will provide access to:

Support for several platforms: Start and carry on discussions with Claude using web, iOS, and Android applications.

Vision abilities: Capture fresh images or submit files for instantaneous image analysis.

Processing in many languages: Real-time language translation to facilitate conversation or interpret various elements of your environment

Advanced reasoning: Claude can assist you in solving challenging issues, such as researching potential meeting topics or reviewing contracts while on the road.

How to install the Claude app on a mobile device

The Google Play Store currently has Claude by Anthropic available. Those who are interested can download the app by going to the Play Store on their Android cellphones.

To recall Anthropic released the iOS app for ClaudeAI in May of this year, along with the Teams subscription plan. The team plan, which costs $30 per user per month, allows groups of five or more to share access to the entire ClaudeAI model library.
