Center to Strengthen the Startup Ecosystem with the Launch of BHASKAR Digital Platform

By Consultants Review Team Monday, 16 September 2024

The Indian government has said that a ground-breaking digital platform would soon be launched with the goal of strengthening the nation's startup environment. As a component of the Startup India program, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry is scheduled to launch the "Bharat Startup Knowledge Access Registry" (BHASKAR) project.

With BHASKAR, major players in the entrepreneurial ecosystem—such as startups, investors, mentors, service providers, and government agencies—can collaborate more easily and centrally. The platform seeks to support the government's goal of making India a leader in innovation and entrepreneurship on a worldwide scale.

There are already more than 146,000 DPIIT-recognized startups in India. By providing a complete, one-stop digital platform that tackles the common issues encountered by investors and entrepreneurs, BHASKAR hopes to unlock this enormous potential. The platform will facilitate the entrepreneurial path from concept to execution by offering centralized access to a wide range of resources, tools, and knowledge.

Giving each stakeholder a unique BHASKAR ID is one of the program's main benefits. As a result, there will be more engagement, better searchability, and effective opportunity and partnership discovery. BHASKAR's main objective is to establish the biggest digital register in the world for startup ecosystem participants, encouraging resource access, networking, and cooperation.

The website will help the Indian startup scene by providing a focal point where interested parties can interact, exchange ideas, and promote expansion. BHASKAR, according to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, is a major step forward in the government's initiatives to promote entrepreneurship, innovation, and job development. This revolutionary effort, which seeks to boost India's worldwide reputation in the startup industry and expedite growth, is open to participation from all stakeholders.
