Diriyah Company, the developer of Saudi Arabia's ambitious 14-square-kilometer City of Earth urban development project, has chosen IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) to monitor and manage assets throughout the Diriyah Project.

As a $63.2 billion Public Investment Fund (PIF) Giga project, Diriyah will use IBM's leading enterprise asset management (EAM) solution to drive improved asset performance, predictive maintenance, and operational optimization for mixed-use urban development.

It is another significant step toward making Diriyah one of the world's most sophisticated and advanced smart city developments. The announcement was made at LEAP 2025, Riyadh's premier technology event, where industry leaders and innovators gathered to demonstrate advancements shaping the future of digital transformation.

With implementation already underway, Diriyah Company can take advantage of IBM Maximo Application Suite's AI-driven capabilities to enable real-time asset monitoring, predictive analytics, and condition-based maintenance, reducing downtime and ensuring infrastructure sustainability.

By combining critical workloads such as AI-driven asset performance analysis, real-time condition monitoring, and predictive analytics into a centralized solution, the company expects to improve operational reliability and cost efficiency.

Through this collaboration, IBM Maximo enables Diriyah to address the challenges of rapid urbanization and population growth while ensuring long-term resource management, operational efficiency, and resilience. This will assist Diriyah Company in addressing aging infrastructure, rising energy demands, and growing public expectations for smart, technologically advanced solutions, thereby setting new benchmarks for efficient and sustainable urban development.

The project is a strategic milestone in Diriyah Company's digital transformation journey, demonstrating its dedication to leveraging advanced technology for sustainable urban development and cutting-edge Smart City technology.

Fahad Alanazi, General Manager of IBM Saudi Arabia, stated, "We are thrilled to partner with Diriyah Company at the forefront of this transformative initiative, harnessing the power of technology and AI to achieve operational excellence powered by intelligent assets." Diriyah Company is poised to catapult its asset management practices to unprecedented heights by integrating predictive maintenance and real-time monitoring capabilities within IBM Maximo Application Suite, with the goal of not only achieving uninterrupted operations as the project expands but also pioneering a new paradigm of smart, efficient infrastructure development."

Ziad Lamaa, General Manager of eSolutions Saudi Arabia, stated, "eSolutions is proud to be chosen for the implementation of the IBM Maximo Application Suite. With our extensive experience deploying enterprise asset management solutions, we are committed to optimizing performance and increasing efficiency. Our proven track record of successful implementations in a variety of industries guarantees a smooth and successful rollout for Diriyah Company."

The implementation of IBM Maximo strengthens Diriyah's hybrid cloud strategy, as IBM provides a flexible deployment model that combines on-premises infrastructure and cloud environments. This approach enables improved data-driven decision-making, more efficient asset utilization, and increased resilience, all of which are critical in Saudi Arabia's changing urban and infrastructure landscape.
