Dubai Municipality introduced the 'Building Intelligence Platform' at the World Governments Summit 2025 (WGS) as part of its commitment to improving sustainable urban planning.
This innovative digital platform provides comprehensive and up-to-date data on buildings throughout the emirate, aligning with Dubai's vision of becoming a sustainable, technologically advanced global hub for urban innovation.
It aims to empower investors, developers, and urban planners by providing detailed and accurate building data and analytics, allowing them to make more informed decisions. This is consistent with Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
Furthermore, this initiative strengthens Dubai's global competitiveness by encouraging transparency and innovation in the real estate and urban planning industries.
The platform displays important information such as the number of floors, building height, total area, gross floor area (GFA), and various usage classifications. It also provides detailed information on residential and commercial properties, such as the number of apartments, unit sizes, and total floor area.
Economic indicators such as commercial activity, rental values, demographic data, maintenance costs, and base price valuation are also included, providing a comprehensive picture of market dynamics to help with strategic investment and development planning.
Mariam Al Muhairi, CEO of Dubai Municipality's Building Regulation and Permits Agency, stated, "Our focus has been on driving urban innovation and strengthening resilience by incorporating forward-thinking governance and cutting-edge technologies into the planning process." We are improving the future of smart cities and Dubai's ability to adapt to evolving challenges by developing the Building Intelligence Platform, which uses AI and advanced economic data analytics.
The platform includes a Rental Index, which provides accurate, real-time rental data to help with property investment planning. Furthermore, it provides insights into various building uses, allowing government agencies and the private sector to optimize urban planning strategies and improve land use efficiency.
Dubai Municipality is participating in WGS 2025 as a Smart City Partner, highlighting its key initiatives to improve sustainability, urban attractiveness, and quality of life in Dubai.
