The "Takamul Permit" service, a new initiative by Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), aims to promote integration among the emirate's commercial transportation sectors, particularly strengthening ties between the luxury car and rental car industries.
The project is in line with the city's commitment to providing exceptional services that meet the needs and preferences of its residents, visitors, and tourists while also enhancing their quality of life and enhancing its reputation as a premier destination for luxurious living.
"The service combines Dubai's luxury passenger transportation industry with the automobile rental industry. By allowing the temporary use of luxury vehicles and promoting mutual benefits between RTA and the business community, the permit makes it easier for limousine transport companies and car rental companies to work together. Subject to certain rules and restrictions, this program also enables end users, such as residents, visitors, and individuals, to rent a luxury vehicle with a driver for a maximum of one month. A thorough and adaptable regulatory framework is established by the "Takamul Permit" to improve the vehicle rental industry in all categories. We streamlined the interaction between rental companies and clients while updating regulations and creating systems to cover all vehicle rental operations under RTA's purview," Director of Commercial Transport Activities at RTA's Licencing Agency, Jamal Al Sadah.
The terms and conditions governing the rental and operation of light vehicles as well as the rules for deluxe passenger transport in Dubai must be followed by companies using this service, Al Sadah continued. This entails listing drivers in the electronic Transport Activities Rental System (TARS), enrolling deluxe transport companies, and registering rental contracts.
