Elon Musk Claims Neuralink Brain Chips is the Way of the Future, Phones will soon become Outdated

By Consultants Review Team Wednesday, 19 June 2024

Elon Musk thinks that in the future, brain chips made by Neuralink will take the place of phones. He stated, "In the future, there will be no phones, just Neuralinks," in response to a post on X. Interestingly, he also serves as CEO of Neuralink, a company developing brain chip technology. Additionally, 29-year-old Noland Arbaugh is participating in the first human trials for it.

A post asked if users would install a Neuralink interface to control their gadgets with their thoughts in response to an AI-generated image of Musk holding a phone with a neural network design on his forehead. "Would you install a Neuralink interface on your brain to allow you to control your new X phone by thinking?" was the description for this photo.

Musk's statement drew responses from a number of X users. "I love you, Elon," wrote one. However, my brother, I will never implant anything into my mind. I have to say, "Hard no," to that. Someone another said, "That's going to be wild."

For those who don't know, eight years ago, an accident rendered Neuralink's first human patient, Arbaugh, paraplegic from the shoulders down. After undergoing brain surgery on January 28, he is now exhibiting encouraging indications of recovery. He even hit the 100-day milestone, at which point Neuralink published a blog post outlining their specific progress.

Neuralink posted a video in March that showed off Arbaugh's development. He also related how using Neuralink has improved his capacity to participate in his favorite pastimes, including chess. It's amazing, really awesome. To be a part of this is a blessing. I feel like I'm learning something new every day. In the video, he remarked, "It's impossible to express how awesome it feels to be able to accomplish this.

Neuralink is currently accepting applications for a second participant, as Musk just stated. "Neuralink is accepting applications for the second participant," the writer stated. With the use of this cybernetic brain implant called Telepathy, you can operate your computer and phone just by thinking.

Despite the upward trend, Neuralink is encountering more challenges. Lindsay Short, a former Neuralink animal care expert, filed a complaint against the corporation, according to a New York Post story. She claims that while she was providing animal care, they neglected to give the appropriate safety gear. A hazardous virus that may cause severe brain damage or even death in humans was carried by several of these animals.
