By Consultants Review Team Monday, 21 October 2024

Elon Musk has stated that his AI-focused startup, xAI, is searching for AI teachers who can speak at least two languages, including Hindi, for an hourly wage of up to $65, or Rs 5,500. The post titled 'AI Tutor - Bilingual' entails training xAI's models with data in many languages. While English is required, the second language may be Hindi, French, Chinese, or Arabic.

The organization is accepting applications from interested applicants from all over the world for the six-month position, which includes remote work benefits. This means that anyone from India who is qualified for the position is welcome to apply. However, their pay may differ based on the type of work environment (office or home) they choose or are allocated. The work demands fluency in English and any of the secondary languages, including Hindi. This indicates that the candidate must be able to read and write in a certain language.

The job description further states that qualified candidates for the position of AI Tutor would work on projects aimed at improving xAI's generative AI models. This requires professional language knowledge, research abilities, and the ability to manage content in both English and one of the specified languages. Candidates that have a history in technical writing, journalism, or professional writing, as well as expertise working in one of the aforementioned languages, will be preferred. The organization will need candidates to take a test to assess their competency in the languages for which they have applied, and they will be shortlisted for the next phase based on the results.

Musk stated that xAI is providing hourly remuneration to candidates ranging from $35 to $65 (approximately Rs 2,900 to Rs 5,500), based on their experience and skills. The AI Tutors will work Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in their local time zone. The position also includes medical and dental benefits.
