FM Sitharaman Officiates at the Tech Leaders Roundtable in Guadalajara, Mexico

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presided over a Tech Leaders Roundtable at the Chamber of Commerce in Guadalajara, Mexico, where discussions focused on 'Strengthening Technological Cooperation between India and Mexico.'

The Mexican Association of the Information Technology Industry and Tata Consulting Services organized the roundtable on Thursday, in partnership with the Indian Embassy in Mexico and the Department of Economic Affairs.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the summit was intended to bring together global technology experts, as well as officials from key Indian IT businesses operating in the area.

The discussions centered on increasing cooperation in technology and innovation, with the objective of broadening bilateral partnership.

The Finance Minister also paid respect to businessman Ratan Tata at TCS headquarters in Mexico. Ratan Tata died at midnight on October 9 owing to old age concerns.

FM Sitharaman is the chair of a Tech Leaders Roundtable in Guadalajara, Mexico. The discussions aim to enhance cooperation in technology and innovation and strengthen engagement between the two nations.

According to the Ministry of Finance, Sitharaman's visit to Mexico highlights the two countries' strengthening economic and commercial connections.

"The Union Finance Minister will engage with political and business leaders from different sectors in Guadalajara and Mexico City with a focus to explore further collaboration in #trade, #investment, #technology, #innovation, and #DPI, leading to deepening of bilateral relations between #IndiaMexico" according to the ministry's post on 'X'.

During this visit, India and Mexico hope to enhance their alliance by exploring new options for collaboration in many industries and improving trade and investment links.
