Gaurav Loomba Named Senior Director of Public Affairs for India by Truecaller

Gaurav Loomba has been named Senior Director of Public Affairs for India by Truecaller. Loomba formerly held positions at ICICI Bank and the National Payments Corporation of India before joining Paytm as AVP of Government and Public Affairs.

This appointment follows Seema Jindal's departure from Bharti Airtel. Seema is in charge of Truecaller's public affairs strategy for the telecom industry.With twenty years of experience in digital payments and financial services, Gaurav played a key role in managing CSR and ESG activities and cultivating connections with industry and government bodies about policy and regulatory improvements in the field.

Gaurav will work with government organizations at Truecaller to spearhead the implementation of a public affairs plan meant to obtain the necessary legislative and regulatory support for Truecaller's ongoing expansion and innovation in India.

"I am happy to announce my appointment as the Senior Director of Public Affairs at Truecaller," Gaurav remarked in reference to his new position. "Improving the organization's interaction with government departments and agencies will be my responsibility in this position. My main goal will be to create and put into action plans that provide all-encompassing policy and regulatory backing, strengthening Truecaller's dedication to the Indian market." Kari Krishnamurthy, the Chief Commercial Officer of Truecaller, would be Gaurav's immediate supervisor.
