Google's Gemini Live launches in Hindi, with eight more Indian languages to follow soon

By Consultants Review Team Friday, 04 October 2024

During the Google for India event on October 3, 2024, Google announced a slew of new artificial intelligence (AI) technologies geared exclusively for India, which is a thrilling development for both tech aficionados and regular consumers. A key feature of this news is the availability of Gemini Live, a component of Google's revolutionary AI chatbot, in Hindi. This move is a key step toward making powerful AI technology more accessible, with plans to add eight more languages in the near future.

Gemini Live's language selections will soon extend to include Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, and Urdu. This function, which was previously exclusively available to Gemini Advance members, is now accessible.

Previously exclusively available to Gemini Advance customers, this functionality is now available to all Android users, allowing for more natural and conversational interactions. Furthermore, Google has introduced ten additional speech kinds to Gemini Live, enhancing the user experience even further.

Google has also introduced new AI-generated summaries for Google Maps, as well as an AI Overview feature in Google Search that supports video. This experimental video tool, accessible in Search Labs, allows users to shoot a video with Google Lens and then obtain AI-generated overviews based on the film's context. For example, users can record a culinary video and request helpful advice or assistance!

Earlier this year, Google made the AI Overviews feature available to all users after testing it as part of its Search Generative Experience. This feature may now condense crucial information and give useful reference links. It improves the search experience by changing the old method of presenting numerous website links at once.
