HCLTech Finalizes Acquisition of Software Company Zeenea

Prominent IT services provider HCLTech announced that it has completed the acquisition of Paris-based software startup Zeenea SAS. Zeenea was acquired for $26.5 million (23.9 million euros), according to a BSE filing. This is the business's second acquisition in the current fiscal year's first half.

The IT giant announced three months ago in May that it would be paying $225 million (about Rs1,874 crore) to acquire some assets from the Communications Technology Group (CTG) of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE).

HCLTech announced in August 2024 that it intended to acquire Zeenea. Zeenea specializes in offering governance and data catalog solutions. With this acquisition, HCL hopes to bolster its Actian (data and analytics) branch. Roughly 10% of HCLTech's total income comes from HCL Software.

In the first quarter of the fiscal year, the software industry's profit margins peaked at 20.5%. HCL Software, Engineering and Research and Development, and IT and Business Services are the three divisions of the corporation. 

c has been selected by State Bank of India to automate its digital marketing initiative.The bank will employ the HCL Unica martech platform, according to the company, to modify the way it interacts with customers and offer highly customized services while maintaining data protection.
