IBM End-to-end AI Governance Platform will be Adopted by UAE's e&

By Consultants Review Team Thursday, 23 January 2025

Global technology company e& has partnered with IBM to implement a cutting-edge, multi-model, end-to-end governance solution for artificial intelligence (AI) and generative AI.

Reiterating e&'s commitment to establishing strong governance, risk management, and regulatory oversight across its AI usage, this collaboration was announced at the World Economic Forum 2025 in Davos. It aims to improve e&'s AI governance framework to encourage compliance, oversight, and ethical practices across its expanding AI ecosystem.

In addition to building on e&'s dedication to scale AI responsibly and track ROI, the solution will make use of IBM's Watsonx.governance enterprise AI and data governance platform and IBM Consulting's experience in AI implementation. It will also address compliance requirements, transparency, and ethical oversight of AI models.

Through this partnership, IBM's widely acknowledged AI governance toolkit will be applied to important issues like ensuring regular supervision of e&'s AI systems, managing risks like non-compliance and ethical issues, and tracking AI performance at scale. By creating a strong framework for accountability, reducing potential biases, and protecting data, e& is actively improving its AI ecosystem as it continues to grow its ambitious AI strategy and capabilities.

e& is making great progress in creating transparent and scalable AI operations by utilizing IBM's technology and consulting experience.

Advanced features like automated risk management, compliance monitoring, and real-time performance analysis are introduced by the new AI governance solution. This will make it possible for e& to address regulatory standards, identify biases, and reduce risks at every stage of the AI model lifecycle, from development to decommissioning.

The governance solution will enable e& to proactively manage any possible AI risks in production, provide quantifiable value to stakeholders, and monitor current AI use cases in real time.

Full traceability and oversight are supported by the solution by creating a centralized inventory of AI models. With real-time insights into model performance, risk scoring, and compliance metrics, IBM Watsonx.governance enables dynamic monitoring. This makes it possible for e& to identify problems like bias and drift early on, enabling ethical AI practices and remedial action.

IBM Consulting and e& will collaborate closely to develop and put into place a thorough AI governance framework that is suited to e&'s particular needs. In order to provide real-time insights into the value, impact, and possible risks of AI, this entails defining workflows and key performance indicators as well as onboarding current AI models onto the platform.

Through persona and journey mapping, market research, architecture patterns for AI integration, and knowledge transfer materials, the deployment will also make use of IBM Consulting Advantage, an AI-powered delivery platform, to expedite the creation of the AI governance framework.

"IBM Watsonx helps businesses like e& handle the challenges of AI governance. We are tackling important governance issues and lowering the risks related to AI by combining automation, real-time monitoring, and centralized oversight. This milestone serves as a catalyst for responsible AI innovation, strengthening our long-standing partnership with e&," said Shukri Eid, General Manager, Gulf, Levant & Pakistan at IBM.

A major milestone in e&'s AI governance journey, this partnership establishes a new benchmark for ethical and scalable AI operations for the organization and the industry as a whole.
