By Consultants Review Team Friday, 07 June 2024

IIT Madras' Pravartak Technologies Foundation has created a free three-month training program to prepare students, particularly those from rural regions, for careers in the technological field. Classes for this course will begin in the first week of July and finish in September 2024.

According to the statement, the course will cover networking principles, cloud foundations, ticketing tools, Linux and Windows basics, storage and backup fundamentals, and soft skills that will help students get jobs in IT.

"This effort will give extensive training to participants, preparing them to provide great customer support and service. This curriculum is intended to provide you with the skills, information, and resources needed to manage a wide range of technical and customer service difficulties efficiently and effectively," stated Mangala Sunder, Professor Emeritus at IIT Madras.

According to the Institute, students will not be given a stipend, and the training will be conducted in a classroom. Students who have finished a BSc in a science stream (Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biotechnology) or a BCA with a minimum aggregate of 60% in 2023 or 2024 may apply for this course on or before June 12. IIT-M will also aid chosen students with their placement.
