Infosys Joins Hand with Swedish EV Firm Polestar to Set Up a Tech Hub in Bengaluru

Infosys, a prominent IT company, has partnered with Polestar, a Swedish electric performance vehicle manufacturer, to develop in-car entertainment, software and electrical/electronics engineering, user experience, and cloud-powered digital services.

As part of this collaboration, Infosys will construct a global technology hub for Polestar in its Bengaluru development center, according to a regulatory filing.

"This hub aims to deliver electric vehicle (EV) software development and validation across many domains, including infotainment, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and telematics," according to its description.

It will help Polestar with product management, customer interaction, corporate solutions, and direct-to-consumer digital services by using cloud-native development, testing, and data engineering, the company said.

Infosys stated that in order to further the collaboration, it will make use of its most recent purchase, engineering R&D services provider in-tech.

"Polestar and our partner Infosys in Bengaluru are embarking on a new chapter in the company's worldwide setup. Sven Bauer, Head of Software at Polestar, stated, "We look forward to developing automotive competence in the Polestar Tech Hub to support our expanding vehicle portfolio and new model launches.

Information Systems' shares ended the day on the BSE at Rs 1,896 per share, down 0.09 percent from the previous closing.
