The first Global Capability Centers (GCC) policy in the nation will shortly be introduced in Karnataka, with the goal of housing more than 15% (330) of the top Forbes 2000 businesses worldwide by 2030. As per the GCC Landscape Report of Karnataka, this will contribute to the creation of more than one million employment across various industries.

Priyank Kharge, the Minister of IT-BT and Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, the Department of Science and Technology, the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM), and ANSEs, an advisory business that works with GCCs, published the study.

During the occasion, GCC leaders and seasoned business professionals gave talks on tactics to strengthen and enhance the state's position as a top travel destination for GCCs.

According to the survey, GCCs employ over 5.70 lakh experts, with Bengaluru accounting for 39% of the market in India.

Karnataka has 570 GCCs, with twice as much enterprise-ready talent as other states. The IT capital, with its trained experts, powerful technical infrastructure, and active business environment, want to boost the GCCs, according to the research.

'Aiming to develop robust business ecosystems for GCCs'

After publishing the study, Kharge stated that "Karnataka has been the leading force in India's digital revolution, with GCCs serving as a key driver for the state's growth trajectory." We are implementing strategic interventions and facilitators to help the Gulf Cooperation Councils build a resilient commercial and operational ecosystem. We are developing the first GCC Policy in India to assist GCCs intending to establish business in Karnataka."

The minister stated that by implementing incentives, laws, and new policies to assist GCCs, the state will attract the next generation of firms not just in Bengaluru, but also in growing tech clusters such as Mysuru, Hubballi, and Mangaluru.

With an established ecosystem, Karnataka is counting on large transformational technological advances, foreign direct investment (FDI), and a strong future vision to become the driving force behind India's progress in the global GCC environment.
