Jack Taylor has been appointed as Executive, Distribution Strategies and Business Development, Asia Pacific by Markel, the insurance company of Markel Group Inc.
Taylor, who is based in Singapore, will be in charge of broker interaction throughout the region.
This new position supports Markel's strategic goal of strengthening its operations, underwriting knowledge, and distribution capabilities while also strengthening its broker partnerships throughout Asia Pacific.
In order to highlight Markel's specialty insurance value proposition in the Asia Pacific market, Taylor will be instrumental in encouraging broker engagement in close collaboration with the company's regional leaders, underwriters, and foreign distribution teams.
Additionally, he will help create and execute creative underwriting solutions that are specific to the area.

Taylor offers extensive expertise to his new post at Markel, having previously worked for Zurich Insurance. Throughout his career, he held positions in both London and Singapore, specializing in relationship management, business development, and senior underwriting.
