Meta Connect 2024: New AI Functions Unveiled for Chat, Edit, and Translation on the Spot

By Consultants Review Team Thursday, 26 September 2024

At Meta Connect 2024, Meta announced numerous key enhancements to its AI products. These upgrades enable users to communicate with Meta AI through voice commands, share and modify photographs, and even receive real-time image responses.

A new video translation tool for Reels can automatically translate speech and lip motions into other languages. Meta has also extended its AI products for enterprises, including automated conversations. Additionally, AI-generated content, unique themes, and personalized graphics will interact with Meta's other platforms.

Voice Interaction with Meta-AI

Meta AI can now respond to voice instructions across many platforms, including Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook. Users may now communicate with the AI assistant by speaking aloud, and Meta AI will react verbally.

This feature aims to make talks with the AI more natural and approachable. Users will also be able to select a range of vocal characters for their AI assistant, including famous voices like Awkwafina, John Cena, Dame Judi Dench, and Kristen Bell.

Photo Recognition and Editing

Photo Recognition and Editing Capabilities One of the most significant enhancements is the inclusion of picture recognition into Meta AI. Users may now post photographs in conversations, and Meta AI can detect things in the images and deliver relevant information. For example, if a user uploads a photo of a flower, the AI can identify its species. Meta AI may also execute photo altering activities depending on user requests.

This includes manipulating visual aspects, such as costumes or backdrops, in order to personalize or improve the photograph.

Automated video translation for reels

Automated Video Translation for Reels Meta is launching a new AI-powered translation service that can automatically translate audio into video material, beginning with Reels on Instagram and Facebook. The technology will translate spoken language from videos while imitating the original speaker's voice and synchronizing lip motions. The service was originally being tested with content creators in Latin America and the United States, with translations in English and Spanish. Meta intends to extend this service to include new authors and languages in the future.

AI-generated content and personalization

AI-generated content and personalization Meta AI's "Imagine" capability, which was previously accessible in restricted form, has been expanded. Users may use this application to produce AI-generated photographs based on prompts, such as visualizing oneself in various circumstances or styles, and then post those images straight in their Facebook and Instagram feeds or Stories. Meta AI can now propose captions for tales and build personalized chat themes. The business is also experimenting AI-generated material for user feeds that will be targeted to certain interests or trends.

AI Tools for Businesses

AI Tools for Business Meta has extended its AI capabilities for businesses, with a special focus on boosting client interactions via messaging platforms such as WhatsApp and Messenger. Businesses that use click-to-message advertisements may now build up AI assistants to interact directly with consumers, giving help, answering questions, and even enabling transactions. These AI helpers are designed to improve the customer support process, boosting productivity and perhaps driving sales.

The use of Meta's generative AI ad technologies has also increased significantly. In just the previous month, more than a million marketers used these tools to produce over 15 million advertisements. According to Meta, ad campaigns using generative AI elements increased click-through rates by 11% and conversion rates by 7.6% when compared to standard efforts.
