Meta Launches Custom Messaging and 'Meta Verified' on WhatsApp

New capabilities for WhatsApp have been revealed by Meta to help millions of Indian small companies prepare for the festive season. The corporation declared during the first-ever WhatsApp Business Summit in the nation that all qualified small enterprises utilizing the WhatsApp Business program can now take use of the "Meta Verified" function.

'Meta Verified' subscriptions provide businesses with premium tools to bolster their online brand visibility, a verified badge, protection against impersonation, and dedicated account support. Additionally, this emblem will show up on WhatsApp Channels and Business pages, which will help companies build their online and social media presence.

"WhatsApp is at the core of India's digital transformation thanks to its widespread use and simplicity, which allow businesses to grow through creative ideas and models," stated Sandhya Devanathan, VP of Meta India.

In addition to "Meta Verified," Meta is launching a new service that lets companies using WhatsApp Business send clients customized messages. This includes birthday greetings, appointment reminders, and details on seasonal sales—all of which may now be delivered with more efficiency. Businesses may plan messages ahead of time, add call-to-action buttons, and personalize messages with the customer's name thanks to the premium function.

Additionally, Meta disclosed the impending launch of "WhatsApp Business Yatra," a program intended to help small businesses in tier 2 and tier 3 cities enhance their digital capabilities by offering them in-person training.

Presently, 92 percent of users communicate with companies using messaging applications, and 60 percent of WhatsApp users contact with businesses on a weekly basis, highlighting the increasing significance of these communication platforms.
