Musk's Grok AI Chatbot Will Become Available For All Premium Users

Tech entrepreneur Elon Musk said recently that Grok, the chatbot developed by xAI, an artificial intelligence business, will soon be available to all premium users of X, the social media site that was once known as Twitter.

This big announcement was made through a post on the site, however Musk declined to provide any further details on how it will be implemented.

Up until now, only Premium+ subscribers have had access to the Grok chatbot. Musk did, however, decide to make it more widely available at a time when the microblogging platform's market is changing and more and more advertisers are choosing to spend their money elsewhere. As a result, Musk has emphasized how crucial it is to move away from the platform's reliance on advertising income and toward more alluring subscription-based business models.

The wealthy businessman made this calculated move in response to his recent claim that xAI will be opening up Grok for public use. Musk filed a lawsuit against OpenAI, claiming that the company had abandoned its initial goals in favor of a profit-driven strategy, which prompted this move. Musk hopes to allow the public unrestricted access to the fundamental code of Grok via open-sourcing it, thus enabling technical experimentation.

Furthermore, by supporting open-source AI models, Meta and Mistral, two major participants in the sector, are aligned with xAI.
