Leading MENA financial services enabler PPaymob has partnered with open-source eCommerce platform Woo in a historic strategic alliance, becoming Woo's first preferred partner to launch in the region.
Paymob's checkout process is now smoothly integrated into the WooCommerce Marketplace as a result of this partnership, giving businesses quick access to its extensive range of digital payment options.
This collaboration demonstrates Woo's faith in Paymob as a reliable partner to deliver customized payment solutions that satisfy the particular requirements of local retailers. Merchants can now incorporate more than 50 local and international payment options, such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and regional substitutes, into their WooCommerce stores with Paymob Checkout.
The statement claims that the solution is completely mobile-friendly and offers a safe and easy checkout process with PCI compliance and embedded 3D Secure.
"Our partnership with WooCommerce is a major step forward in our mission to enable regional SMEs with transformative digital tools," said Omar El Gammal, EVP of Global Business Development at Paymob. "We are building a future where eCommerce expansion is smooth and available to everyone by integrating Paymob into the WooCommerce ecosystem."
"We're excited about strengthening our partnership with Paymob to offer merchants in MENA a streamlined solution that helps them securely scale their businesses," said Web Griebel, GM of Payments at Woo.
Karl Stjernstrom, VP of Global Alliances at Paymob, stated, "This integration with Woo reflects our focus on forging strategic alliances that drive innovation and unlock new growth opportunities for Paymob merchants in the MENA region and beyond."
By 2025, the MENA eCommerce market is expected to reach $50 billion due to factors like rising demand for digital payment solutions, a growing youth population, and rising smartphone penetration. Small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) are leading this change, but many still have trouble getting the resources they need to grow successfully.
Fast payment processing, including instant settlements in some markets and next-day settlements (T+1) for the majority of methods, is another advantage for merchants. Paymob's leadership in providing innovative solutions to the region's merchants is reflected in the integration, which will soon be seamlessly integrated into Woo's onboarding experience, simplifying the setup process for new merchants and enabling users to start accepting payments quickly and efficiently. Improved features, like multi-currency support and retry options for unsuccessful transactions, drive higher payment success rates and improve customer satisfaction, according to the statement.
