PwC India Joins Hand with Meta to Enhance its Open-source AI Solutions

PwC India announced on Thursday a collaboration with Meta to enhance and grow its open-source artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for enterprises and citizen services based on Meta's Llama models.

"This collaboration will promote the adoption of the Llama open-source platform and help PwC develop innovative solutions powered by Generative AI on a global scale," according to a release. Sanjeev Krishan, chairman of PwC India, stated, "We are pleased to collaborate with Meta to explore the disruptive potential of Generative AI in advancing India's growth trajectory. With Llama models, we see a unique opportunity to democratize this technology across industries, driving innovation while addressing real-world concerns."

According to the consultancy firm, the collaboration will assist PwC India and Meta "democratise" Generative AI (GenAI) and make it more accessible to enterprises by collaboratively developing and deploying enterprise-grade and citizen-service GenAI solutions. "Gen AI solutions, including Llama, are poised to revolutionise India's businesses and accelerate the country's digital transformation journey," said Sandhya Devanathan, Meta India's vice president and head.

"By leveraging natural language understanding and generation, Llama may create new efficiencies, improve consumer experiences, and drive data-driven decision-making. As India aims to become a major digital economy, Gen AI will help businesses innovate, develop, and compete on a global scale. We believe that this technology has the potential to transform India's digital landscape, and we are dedicated to collaborating with stakeholders to ensure its widespread acceptance and effect." Vivek Belgavi, partner and leader of alliances and ecosystems at PwC India, stated, "We are pleased to cooperate with Meta to expand on Llama.

This collaboration is a significant step toward offering our clients with unique ways to use GenAI while opening up new opportunities for efficiency and creativity." PwC India and Meta will also provide sophisticated GenAI capabilities to their clients.
