President-elect Donald J. Trump has appointed Sriram Krishnan, an entrepreneur and former Microsoft employee who previously worked as an adviser to Elon Musk, as Senior Policy Advisor for Artificial Intelligence at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.
In response to Trump's decision, Krishnan, who was born in Chennai, expressed thanks and gratitude to the post.
"I'm honored to be able to serve our country and ensure continued American leadership in AI while collaborating closely with David Sacks." "Thank you, @realDonaldTrump, for this opportunity," he wrote on X.
"We heartily congratulate Sriram Krishnan and are delighted that he has been appointed by President-elect Donald Trump as Senior Policy Advisor in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy," Indiaspora's executive director Sanjeev Joshipura stated.
"For some years, Sriram has been an astute thinker and influential critic in the artificial intelligence space. His previous experience integrating public policy, international affairs, investing, and technology will serve him well in this critical capacity," he added.
