Swiggy Introduces International Logins Feature for 27 Countries

By Consultants Review Team Friday, 25 October 2024

Users from 27 countries, including the US, Canada, Germany, the UK, Australia, and the UAE, can now use all of the Swiggy app's features by using their foreign phone numbers with the help of a new feature called "International Logins."

When placing meal orders, buying on Swiggy's rapid commerce platform, Swiggy Instamart, and making reservations through Swiggy Dineout, this permanent feature provides a smooth experience. International credit cards or the accessible Unified Payments Interface (UPI) choices can be used to make payments. According to the company, using Swiggy's extensive range of services and staying connected are now easier than ever.

According to Swiggy, the capability was added in response to customer requests from people who had previously used Swiggy while visiting or living in India.  They can send surprises and gifts, as well as have food or other necessities delivered to their elderly parents' house, thanks to this option.

Family get-togethers, particularly during festivals, require food and presents, according to Phani Kishan, co-founder and chief growth officer of Swiggy. "Those who live overseas can now surprise their loved ones on important occasions using International Login. Our international users have been requesting this feature for a long time, and it is being released right before the holidays. A new gifting arrangement will soon be available to NRIs as well, which will make it simpler to send holiday presents or schedule dinner reservations back home.

When families wish to enjoy and spend time with loved ones in India, particularly during festive seasons, International Logins was launched.

These include reserving a table on a parent's anniversary, delivering Diwali candies, or giving a considerate present for Christmas and Bhai Dooj. Users can use the site to help less tech-savvy relatives with jobs, create surprises, or just make sure their loved ones are taken care of.

Swiggy is a permanent feature. For the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, rival Zomato-owned Blinkit launched a temporary feature last month, extending its services globally. This made it possible for individuals to send presents and rakhis to their siblings in India from nations including the US, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Japan.
