Thales to Set Up a Radar Production Plant in the UAE

Thales International's President and CEO, Pascale Sourisse, announced that the Group is launching a strategic project to establish a radar manufacturing facility in the UAE.

This facility will act as a platform for exporting to foreign markets and meeting the needs of the nation. With more than 81,000 workers spread across five continents, Thales is a global technology leader with expertise in aerospace, space, defense, security, and transportation. It develops goods and solutions to improve safety, the environment, and inclusivity.

In accordance with the UAE's strategic plans to increase defense readiness and reliance on cutting-edge technology, Sourisse said in a media statement that the Group is still in talks with pertinent entities in the country about new projects, such as the development of sophisticated aircraft, communication, and radar solutions.

The Group plans to use the UAE's location and advanced capabilities to support export projects to global markets, strengthening the UAE's position as a regional hub for advanced defense and technological industries, she added, adding that the UAE serves as a strategic hub for the company's operations in the region.
