Thomas B. Meier Named as the Chief Executive Officer of Jumeirah

Thomas B. Meier has been named the new CEO of Jumeirah, a leading global hospitality company and a division of Dubai Holding. Thomas has played a key role in steering Jumeirah through a number of significant turning points, and as part of its Mission 2030 goal, he will now spearhead the brand's next phase of sustainable growth.

Thomas will drive Jumeirah's aspirations to treble its portfolio by 2030 in his role as CEO, emphasizing worldwide expansion and securing the company's place as a world leader in upscale hospitality. Building on its history and reaffirming its dedication to providing guests with culturally and socially rich experiences, Jumeirah hopes to continue setting new industry standards under his direction.

Thomas, who most recently held the position of Interim Chief Executive Officer after serving as Chief Operating Officer since October 2021, assumes the position at a critical juncture for the company. Thomas oversaw significant accomplishments in 2024, such as Jumeirah's foray into Africa with the opening of Jumeirah Thanda Island in Tanzania and Jumeirah Thanda Safari in South Africa, along with other planned debuts. He also strengthened the leadership group by appointing a number of high-ranking personnel.
