In an effort to revolutionize Qatar's transportation industry, Domasco and Volvo Trucks, a world leader in heavy vehicle electrification, introduced the Volvo FH Electric, the nation's first heavy-duty electric truck.
The Volvo FH Electric is built to perform exceptionally well, providing a smooth harmony of sustainability, efficiency, and power. It satisfies the needs of Qatar's expanding industries and aids in the country's green transition thanks to its advanced features and Gross Combination Weight (GCW) of up to 44 tons.
Volvo FH Electric, the first of its kind in the area, fits in perfectly with Qatar's sustainability plan, which includes the government's pledge to lessen its environmental effect.
Qatar has committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 25% by 2030 by implementing progressive policies and focused awareness campaigns.
Details of the Volvo FH Electric
Range: 300 kilometers on a single charge. Fast chargers take 2.5 hours to charge, while overnight chargers take 9.5 hours. Power: 180 to 540 kWh of battery capacity and up to 666 horsepower.
Its alignment with the country's vision is further reinforced by this launch, which is the result of Domasco's initiative to make the Volvo Electric Truck available in Qatar. By helping Qatar's government promote green mobility in all sectors of the economy, Domasco highlights how important zero-emission technology is to reaching decarbonization goals in the heavy transportation and logistics industries and opening the door to a more sustainable future.
"The Volvo FH Electric's launch is a testament to our dedication to driving sustainable transformation in the region," said Ramez Hamdan, Managing Director of Industrial Equipment. "In addition to transforming the logistics and transportation industries, we are also establishing a new benchmark for creativity and environmental responsibility by launching Qatar's first heavy-duty electric truck."
