Aadit Palicha, co-founder of Zepto, announced on Wednesday that Zepto Cafe, the cafe feature of the quick commerce platform, will be released as a stand-alone app the following week.
The young business owner emphasized in a post on the social media site LinkedIn how the cafe service's quick growth served as the impetus for the distinct product.
"Next week, we're releasing a different app specifically for Zepto Cafe! Although it might not be flawless on Day 1, the team is iterating rapidly and releasing an MVP (minimum viable product), thus it's worth the effort to launch immediately.
Palicha posted on LinkedIn, "Zepto Cafe is scaling rapidly; we're launching 100+ cafes a month and already clocking 30K+ orders/day."
Aadit Palicha and Kaivalya Vohra formed Zepto in July 2021, and Zepto Cafe was introduced in April 2022 as a branch of Zepto.
Zepto stated this month that it would be expanding its cafe service to major cities, with over 120 cafes at locations in Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, and soon Hyderabad, Chennai, and Pune.
"With only 15% of our growing network of dark stores that have demonstrated unit economics, Zepto Cafe is currently generating a (estimated) Annual Run Rate (ARR) GMV of Rs 160 crore, demonstrating the extraordinary reaction.
"As we expand into new cities and launch 100-plus new cafes every month, we are on track to achieve an ARR of Rs 1,000 crore by the next fiscal year," Palicha had stated.
